Desi grocery online, delivered across Germany
Not every town in Germany has a desi shop around the corner, so we send our range out from Dresden to the whole country. Around 1,100 products from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Turkey are just a few clicks away: dal and masala, achar, snacks, sweets and frozen fish. Whether you live in Munich, Cologne or a village in the Black Forest, your toor dal and Shan packets travel to you with GLS.
Shipping is simple: €5.49 per order and free once your basket reaches €39.99. Chilled and frozen items such as hilsa, rohu and prawns go out Monday to Wednesday in an insulated box, with a €9.99 cool-box fee. You can pay by card or with Klarna.
Browse by aisle, for example dal and lentils or achar and pickles, or start from a cuisine such as South Indian and Tamil cooking. The shop runs in English, with a German version too.
Tips for ordering online
- Group your frozen items: if you're ordering fish, parathas or kebabs, add several frozen products at once. They share one insulated box, which ships Monday to Wednesday.
- Stock up on heavy staples: rice, atta and cooking oil are exactly the things worth having delivered rather than carried home.
- Reach free shipping: a few spice packets, a bag of dal and some snacks soon take you past €39.99.
- When the parcel arrives: put frozen goods straight into the freezer and store spices airtight, away from light.
New to Germany and not sure where to start? Our pantry starter guide walks you through a first shop. For Pakistani favourites see Pakistani food in Germany, and if you're in Saxony you can always pop into the Dresden shop.
