Frozen paratha, naan and chapati: compare the pack

A pan-cooked paratha, a naan and a chapati are not automatically prepared in the same way. Manufacturer instructions can specify cooking from frozen, pan heat and whether oil is needed. Follow the particular pack instead of borrowing the method from a different bread.

For a quick curry accompaniment, check that the method fits your available pan or oven and the number of breads you can prepare at once. A small pan can make a large guest order slower than the short per-piece cooking time suggests.

Compare pieces and weight together

A five-piece pack and a twenty-piece pack may contain different-sized breads. Read net weight as well as piece count. For example, a hypothetical 400 g five-piece pack averages 80 g per piece; that arithmetic does not establish the weight of a different product or a recommended serving.

Check whether the bread is plain or stuffed. A filled paratha changes the ingredients, allergens and role in the meal. Do not treat a serving photo of bread with curry as evidence that the curry is included.

Plan the cold storage

• Check whether the item is available for your address and delivery method.
• Make freezer space before the order arrives.
• Follow the pack's storage temperature and handling directions.
• Remove only what you plan to prepare, where the packaging allows, and protect the remainder as directed.

Do not thaw simply for convenience when the manufacturer says cook from frozen. If the product arrives in an uncertain condition, contact the shop rather than assuming appearance proves safe handling. Browse frozen paratha and naan and chapati.
