Customer favourites include hilsa, rohu and catla, pomfret and big golda prawns.

Bengali cooks will also find dried fish (shutki).
Frozen fish leaves our store on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, travelling with GLS in an insulated box; the cool-box fee is €9.99. Please be at home to accept the parcel and move everything to the freezer straight away. If you live in Dresden, you can simply pick your fish up from the shop instead.
Thawing and storing frozen fish safely
- Fridge first: thaw fish on a plate or in a dish overnight; large whole fish can take up to 24 hours.
- In a hurry: seal it in a leak-proof bag and submerge in cold water for 30–60 minutes, changing the water now and then. Never use hot water.
- Don't refreeze: cook thawed fish that day or the next at the latest.
- Portion smartly: whole fish are much easier to cut while still half-frozen.
Unopened, frozen fish keeps at −18 °C until the date on the pack. For a proper fish curry you'll want mustard oil and spices such as turmeric; browse the rest of our chilled and frozen range for parathas, kebabs and more.
Frequently asked questions
On which days is frozen fish shipped?
We send chilled and frozen goods from Monday to Wednesday only, packed in an insulated box. If you order on a Thursday or later, your parcel leaves in the next shipping window at the start of the week.
How much does it cost to ship frozen fish?
Standard GLS shipping is €5.49 and free on orders from €39.99. For chilled and frozen products a cool-box fee of €9.99 is added, covering the insulated packaging that keeps your fish cold.
Can I order frozen fish together with other groceries?
Yes. Spices, rice, dal and other dry goods can go in the same order. The frozen items are packed in the insulated box so they stay cold, while the rest travels alongside them.
What if my parcel arrives slightly thawed?
Check the fish as soon as you unpack it. If it is still cold and partly frozen, let it finish thawing in the fridge and cook it that day or the next. Get in touch with us if anything doesn't look right.
